This is the official list sent out to campers and staff… with a few tweaks. It's safest to pack enough clothes, etc. for two weeks. There is a small laundry room available to staff only, but it may be hard to find an opportunity to do laundry on camp, and the machines do break down now and then.
What to Bring
- 2-3 pairs of trainers, sneakers, athletic or tennis shoes
- At least 1 shirt with long sleeves
- Jacket/Sweatshirt
- Shorts (remember this is camp, items will get DIRTY)
- T-shirts (must cover your shoulders!)
- Jeans, Levi's or slacks (jeans are required for horseback riding, and nights can be cool)
- Underwear
- Lots of socks (more than you think you need
- Raincoat/Poncho
- Sun hat, baseball cap, or bandana
- Soap, soap dish, wash cloth, shampoo, 1 or 2 towels
- Toothbrush, toothpaste
- Comb/Brush
- Personal health and sanitary needs
- Small plastic bucket or wash basin to carry toiletries
- Laundry bag and clothespins
- Canteen or water bottle
- Plastic bags for wet clothing
- Pen or pencil (preferably more than one)
- Notebook
- Swimsuit(s) and extra towel for the pool
- Pajamas or nightgowns (may sleep in shorts or sweats)
- Sleeping bag or Bedroll made of sheets and 1-2 warm blankets
- Pillow
- Insect repellant
- Sunscreen
- A good flashlight and extra batteries
- Mess kit (unbreakable plate, cup, and cutlery)
- Backpack or tote bag
- Riding boots or any smooth- and hard-soled shoes with at least ˝ inch heels for horseback riding (optional for non-riding staff/campers-no one will be allowed to ride without these). No flexible soles, trainers, or hiking boots with lug soles or wedges can be worn while riding horses.
Optional
- Writing paper, stamps, etc.
- Camera and film (not available at camp)
- Small sewing kit
- Small musical instrument
- Small mirror (with cover)

- Book to read
- Shower thongs, shoes, or flip-flops (HIGHLY recommended)
- Water shoes for the lake (old tennis shoes or water shoes)

- Whistle (for lifeguards only

- Bathrobe
- Ground cloth/tarp (a necessity for Roughin' It staff or campers
- Bicycle (necessary for biking units/WITs/CITs and their staff, but every staff member will want one)

- "A-Shirts"
- T-shirts that expose your stomach
- Short shorts
- T-shirts, shorts, water bottles, sunglasses, hats, bags, etc. with inappropriate sayings or pictures (Logos that promote alcohol, drugs or sex activity)
- Butane hair equipment
- Open heel shoes
- Open toe shoes
- TVs
- Pagers or beepers
- Pets
- Firearms or fireworks
- Candles or incense
- Alcohol
- Controlled substances or illegal narcotics
